The Acai diet winning high praise
Acai berries have increased their popularity and global reach on an almost exponential basis over the last few years. This is of no surprise to the populace of the area in the Amazon basin who have for many years considered the acai berry as something of a panacea. Their love of the berry is fortunate, since it makes up 42% of the food consumed in the region.
A acai diet is something of an enigma, too. The acai diet has become much more popular, with many manufacturers promoting acai juice and frozen acai pulp as an aid to losing weight and staying fit.
Why don’t acai berries come in their natural form? Wouldn’t it be great if we could purchase then in the local grocery? This isn’t likely to happen any time soon due to the extremely rapid way in which acai berries degrade after they have been picked. Those of us on an acai diet will just have to be content with acai juice for now. Of course the juice is invariably delicious; this makes the compromise much easier to swallow. Literally.
There are powdered versions of acai berries and even acai in pill form. These are purported to help an acai diet as well as the berry in its natural form. Definitely not recommended. Why would you go for this over the ‘real’ alternative?
